4th of July in Utah 2005

Chance joined Rich and I on a trip to Utah for the Fourth of July, to celebrate Rich's birthday and to pick up some things from our Storage Center in Utah (since we are now moved into a much larger place in Arizona).  In Park City, we all shot down the Alpine Slide, with Kevin and Riley beating out Dana and Megan, Katy toppling her older sister's record, and Vicci whopping on Chance (who almost got into an altercation with tail-gator).  After the slides, Vicci took the little ones for a ride on the carousel and Chance made a valiant attempt at the bungee trampoline (in which he seemed to land more often on his head than his feet).  Afterward, we sat on the lawn in front of Dana's house for some street fireworks.  On Rich's birthday, Chance joined Rich's kids and I for a dinner at La Caille, where Chance got to practice his dinner table etiquette that he and Rich worked on in the morning.  On the way back, Rich drove Chance home to Las Vegas, and they stopped at the Taco Bell in Cedar City, where they encountered a sign, "No Shirts, No Shoes, No Smoking, No Service."  These people in Utah so fanatical about not smoking, they don't know what they are saying.  After leaving Utah, Rich and Chance visited the Virgin River Gorge where heavenly lights seemed to follow Chance wherever he stepped.
